Killing Tumor Cells with the Bee Venom component - Melittin!
Просмотров 8 тыс.14 лет назад
BioSolutions- NanoBees. When bees sting, they pump poison into their victims. Now the toxin in bee venom has been harnessed to kill tumor cells by researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. The researchers attached the major component of bee venom to nano-sized spheres that they call nanobees. In mice, nanobees delivered the bee toxin melittin to tumors while protecti...

I served the King of England /scene
My favorite passage is Ezekiel 25:17
Norton looks so young here compared to the end of the movie, kudos to the filmmakers for making sure it was believable 19 years had past
Man these old school films were really on some cool laidback shit
"I almost forgot... I'd hate to deprive you of--" **Rock Hammer slips out of the book**
"please don't check the poster, please don't check the poster"
Where can I buy a poster like that
The Warden is the Pharisee.
This was just one cell toss out of what would’ve been hundreds during Andy’s 20-year stay. It’s a remarkable film, but the idea of no-one looking behind Andy’s series of posters, or him not being moved to a different cell for any number of reasons, is as ludicrous as the fact no-one seems to age.
To dispose of the dirt Andy dug another hole in the wall and hid the dirt in there. You never see it in the film but off screen and behind the cameraman Andy hung a poster of Norman Stanley Fletcher.
“ what you in for Fletch ? “…….. ‘ I got caught didn’t I ! ‘
Salvation is in this yeap
Penitentiary shakedowns always dehumanized an extremely already inhumane purely punitive artificial existence, and it’s no wonder it turns human beings into animals! America pays lip service only to rehabilitation, but all about punishment and warehousing generational misery only now turned into big business with cooperations building private prison facilities all over the country and internationally too. Correctional Officer Rick Ross (now calling herself Ricky Rozay) of the GDOC was a welcome exception to that rule! She gave out many free commissary honeybuns galore and even allowed some of that persuasion to split her own chocolate glazed honeybuns for they notebooks full of lyrical masterpieces full of intelligent bars and rhythmical hooks as some of the best rappers be serving life sentences.
2:30 I remember reading a comment about it, and thats basically the Holy Grail theme from Last Crusade
Salvation lies within” written on first page after he took the Bible out after Andy’s escape
Everyone goes on about the poster. That honestly doesn’t compare with the fact that the warden almost walked away with Andy’s bible which had the pick in it.
Terrible sound.
The quotes used were messages to each other.
Me emociona que la Palabra de Dios esté presente en esta gran película...
There is a lot of hidden meaning behind those passages: Andy: “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh.” Prison Translation: I don’t know when you’re coming around for inspections so therefore I am careful and mindful. Warden: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Prison Translation: I control your destiny. Do as I say and I will help you in return. This was clearly an insight of what was to follow. The Warden is basically telling Andy that if he helps him, that he will help Andy in return.
Andy was just pretending to read the Bible.
Proper shakedown and cell search, other than the contraband poster, and didn’t search the bible.
Andy was actually warning the Warden, not to himself when reciting Mark 13:35 about the master of the house.
Sexy trumpet .. title, Blue Mountain...?
Paula Vennels
Having a Rita Hayworth on the wall was too risky. The warden could have torn it down. A much safer option, all things considered, would have been a poster of Jesus Christ. But "Jesus Christ and the Shawshank Redemption" doesn't have the same ring to it.
There's nothing holy about the Bible.
That bible had a hole in it.
I love how the warden didn't question why that Bible felt unusually heavy. 😏
What is soundtrack name
Did Andy always keep rock hammer in bible or did he do it at the end to taunt Warden ? He should have kept hammer there for a real micky take as in your turn
Why the bible was so heavy.😂
This scene is so tense just by knowing there's a giant hole in the wall behind a thin piece of paper!
Remember that this scene happened in 1949. I don't think Andy had even begun digging the hole yet
Salvation truly lies within the pages of God’s word. Escape from the prison that is this world. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:16-18
Tim Robbins is incredible tall. He was probably stooping down a little here.
Was the bible here hollow already?
Do you know what I love? "For ye not know when the master of the house cometh" -> they were tossing the cells! That's so funny.
Am I the only one who thinks that the theme that play when he gives him the bible back is earily similar to the Holy Grail theme from Indiana Jones? 2:25
Fun fact: the theme that kicks in at 2:32 is the same used in Indiana Jones and the last crusade. Same composer
Rewatching this it’s if not the most tense scene in the entire movie
2:29 The real truth , Salvation is in the Bible!
Some contraband here, but nothing to get in a twist over? Can someone explain what Hadley means by this. How is having rocks contraband? Can you sniff them to get high? I’m so confused can someone help
I think he's talking about the poster and rock blanket, which would not be items normally found in a prison commisary and clearly came from the outside. I don't think it's about the rocks he has. Since Andy's stuff isn't going to cause harm to another inmate, that's why it's "not worth getting into a twist over."
I love how only upon subsequent viewings, this scene suddenly becomes quite tense knowing how close Andy is to having his escape plan discovered.
To be fair, it's possible that he hadn't begun digging the hole yet
@@superjackster0165 Well regardless of the actual hole itself, his little axe was clearly inside the Bible throughout this scene (at 0:06 it’s safe to assume that Andy isn’t actually reading the book, but making sure its hiding place is secure). Besides, I think it’s pretty much implied that Andy got the Rita Hayworth poster specifically to cover up the hole he’d started.
“Salvation lies within.” Oh it certainly does.
Volume too low
Funny how the Captain gives a favor to Andy cause of his tax skills.
He recites the passage itself instead of saying book, chapter, and verse so the warden won’t flip through it.😮
Win.
couldnt find "Multiredskins21" comment to reply but it's now "MultiCommanders21" if i we're a nit picker.
"Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh." Andy was the master of the house and he did indeed cometh later on. Warden Norton had no idea he was coming.
The look in his eyes was pure fear that they were either going to discover the starting of his tunneling and or the rock hammer. He didn't give a shit about them screwing up his cell and his stuff / hobbies, but hoping they didn't discover the hammer or take the poster.
I wonder if Myron Hadley had any favorite Biblical passages?
Psalm 119:133 KJV Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Jesus is Lord. ❤️🙌💯
